Roku’s streaming set-top box has so many channels and services that it seems like you can watch anything on it, except sneezing pandas. Until now. YouTube finally has an official Roku channel, but only on Roku 3 players to start.

Roku 3
With the new channel, Roku 3 owners in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Ireland can watch all those deliciously viral videos, as well as subscribed channels, in up to 1080p HD.
Users can take advantage of the “Send to TV” feature by pairing a smartphone or tablet running a YouTube app to the Roku. Then, as long as they’re on the same Wi-Fi network, you can click “Send to TV” in the YouTube app to watch videos on your Roku.
If you don’t have a Roku 3, the company says—in a Tuesday blog post—that the YouTube channel “is expected to be available on additional player models next year.”
Until then, it is possible for Roku 2 and Roku 1 owners to watch YouTube via the Plex channel—to learn how, simply watch…this helpful YouTube video. (Fitting!)
