Make the walls shake on your next movie night for under $100. Audio gear maker Bose is selling a refurbished version of its Solo Soundbar Series II for $99. That’s $100 off the usual price and excellent price for a soundbar. That goes doubly so for a Bose soundbar.
We haven’t reviewed the Solo Soundbar Series II, but Bose is a very respected brand, and while this is an entry level soundbar, there’s a lot to like about it.
Bose offers the exact same warranty on its refurbished products that it does on brand new products–the advantage of handling refurbs direct. Bose also has a 90-day risk-free trial allowing you to return their products within that time frame for a full refund. Bose’ll cover the shipping too. There’s very little to lose if you try this product.
Bose doesn’t provide much detail about what kind of audio hardware is behind the soundbar’s grill, but with that 90-day trial you can safely test it for yourself.
The Bose Solo Soundbar Series II is meant for movies with a Dialogue Mode button to make the voices easier to hear with built-in Dolby decoding. It also has a Bluetooth range of 30 feet for those times you want to hear podcasts or Spotify through your soundbar.
On the back you get an optical audio connection, but sadly no HDMI port. The Series II is 2.8-inches high, 21.6-inch wide, and 3.4-inches deep.
If you want to improve the audio in your living room, this deal is a solid choice. It’d be a massive upgrade over your HDTV’s tinny speakers.
