Here’s the perfect Ring product for apartment dwellers who can’t drill into their walls: The Ring Peephole Cam and 3rd-gen Echo Dot bundle is now only $169 on Amazon, down from a list price of $249 and the lowest price we’ve ever seen for the pair.
We’ve always liked Ring products, and now that the company has addressed its privacy and security issues, we feel better than ever when recommending its products. The Ring Peephole Cam does exactly what its name suggests: You can replace your home’s existing peephole and use this video doorbell peephole instead. If anyone sets off the door sensor or rings the doorbell, you’ll be notified on your mobile devices, so even when you’re away from home, you can keep up on the goings-on around your porch. It also works if people knock, thanks to built-in knock detection. And beyond the video feed, you can also hear audio and use the peephole as an intercom, letting people know if you aren’t able to make it to the door.
In our review, we gave the 3rd-gen Echo Dot 4 stars out of 5, noting its smart voice control, solid audio, and attractive design as reasons to buy. We haven’t yet tested the Peephole Cam, but this bundle gets 4.2 stars out of 5 on Amazon.
