If you want to upgrade your TV this Thanksgiving, you can save a few hundred dollars on sets with displays larger than 50 inches. You can even bag a 70-inch TV or a 55-inch 4K TV for under $1000.
In cameras this season, bundles offer the best values, with many retailers offering extra lenses and accessories with their DSLRs. If you’re looking for a good compact camera, we have you covered there as well.
Let's start with a deal on a 4K HDTV.
Sears: Seiki SE55UY04 55-inch 120Hz 4K Ultra LED TV--$850 (reg. $1500)
Specs: A 55-inch diagonal display, a 120Hz refresh rate, 4K resolution (4X full HD), two HDMI ports, two USB ports.
There isn’t much 4K content if you buy a 4K TV right now, but you can stay ahead of the pack with this Sears exclusive deal for the HDTV itself.
This is one of the cheapest prices we've seen for a 4K HDTV so far.
Walmart: Nikon D5100 camera bundle--$499 (reg. $699)
Specs: 16.2 megapixel resolution, 1080p HD video recording, a three-inch LCD display, battery life estimated to last up to 600 shots.
The Nikon D5100 16.2MP DSLR bundle from Walmart comes with 18-55mm and 55-200mm lenses, at a bundle price almost $200 cheaper than this camera's regular price. The D5100 is a powerful DSLR that is also capable of full HD video recording.
Walmart: Vizio 70" 120Hz 1080p Smart LED TV--$998 (reg. $1370)
Specs: A 70-inch diagonal display, a smart remote with a QWERTY keyboard, built-in Wi-Fi, 120Hz refresh rate, 1 million to 1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio, SRS StudioSound HD audio, four HDMI ports.
For under $1000, you can bag a 70-inch HDTV at Walmart–if you have the space for it in your living room–but quantities will be limited at the stores.
Target: Canon Powershot A3500 camera--$80 (reg. $200)
Specs: A 16MP sensor, 5X optical, 4x digital zoom, a self-timer, Wi-Fi capability.
The Canon Powershot A3500 is less than half price at Target this Black Friday, which makes it a good compact camera with 5x optical zoom and Wi-Fi compatibility to share shots on Facebook, Twitter, and videos on YouTube.
Walmart, Amazon: Samsung 40-inch 60Hz 1080p Smart LED TV--$397 (reg. $799)
Specs: A 40-inch LED panel, full HD resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, a built-in digital tuner, three HDMI ports, built-in Wi-Fi, two USB ports.
This 40-inch Smart TV from Samsung is a popular model at an all-time low price of $397, either in Walmart stores or online at Amazon.
Target: Nikon L320 16MP camera--$99 (reg. $230)
Specs: 16.1 megapixel sensor, 26x optical zoom, 720p HD video recording.
The 16MP Nikon L320, which is a step below an entry-level DSLR, has a whopping 26x optical zoom and cost less than $100 at Target. One downside to this camera: it records video only in 720p.
Walmart: Vizio E-Series 60-inch Razor LED Smart TV--$688 (reg. $898)
Specs: A 60-inch diagonal display, full HD resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, wide 176-degree vertical and 176-degree horizontal viewing angles, four HDMI ports.
The 60-inch Vizio LED Smart TV is probably the best price for such a large TV this Black Friday and is found only in Walmart stores. This HDTV's remote comes with a QWERTY keyboard to more easily access the set's smart features.
Dell Home: Sharp Aquos 50-inch 1080p LED TV for $498 (reg. $748)
Specs: A 50-inch diagonal full HD LED display, a 60Hz refresh rate, slim design, three HDMI ports, and PC input.
Vizio deals are prevalent with retailers this Black Friday, but if you are looking for a better-known name, Dell Home is selling this Sharp as an online exclusive.
Costco: Nikon D3200 DSLR Camera and two-lens Bundle--$600 (reg. $880)
Specs: A 24.2MP sensor, 1080p HD video recording, 3-inch display
Costco has this Nikon D3200 bundle for sale in stores. It's a nice entry-level deal that includes18-55 mm and 55-200 mm VR lenses, a 16GB SD card, a camera bag, a Wi-Fi mobile adapter, and Nikon School Instructional DVDs and Photo Guide.
Additionally, Costco will ship it for free.
Target, Amazon: Canon 70D DSLR (camera body only)--$1100 (reg. $1199)
Specs: A 20.2MP sensor, 1080p HD video recording, Wi-Fi support, 19 autofocus points, a 3-inch display.
If you want to upgrade your DLSR body, you can save $100 on a sturdy Canon EOS 70D body in Target or online at Amazon, which offers the same deal.
To create faster and more accurate autofocus in Live View, the EOS 70D uses Canon's Dual Pixel CMOS AF system, which features a dual pixel under every micro lens on the imaging sensor.
