7/5/10 Hot Pic: "Open Door" by Derek Feldman, Dillsburg, Pennsylvania
Derek says: "Last fall I got my first DSLR, a Nikon D90, and I've started to record the abandoned places in my area. This particular place is an abandoned farmhouse outside of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. I processed the image in Adobe Photoshop CS4."

Jon writes: "I took this photo at Lutsen Resort in northern Minnesota, where I was staying for my cousin's wedding. I noticed a number of these burs laying around all over the pavement, and I happened to stumble across these two that were connected. I thought it was appropriate."
7/20/10 Hot Pic: "Mesa Verde" by Ron Lashley, Flora Vista, New Mexico
Ron says: "I stopped by Mesa Verde National Park after driving to Durango, and I only had 45 minutes in the park before driving home. I found a dead tree that framed snowcapped mountains in the background, and captured the scene with my Sony A300, using an 18-250 zoom and a polarizing filter."

Nichole says: "This Gerber Daisy is potted in my front yard. After watering it one afternoon and seeing the way the sun hit the water drops, I had to grab the shot with my Nikon D40."

Arnold says: "I took this photo of a Carinate Curly-Tailed Lizard at ARM Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. I used my Nikon D300 with a Nikon 18-200mm lens, and I used Adobe Lightroom 2 and Photoshop CS4 to crop and enhance this photo."
