The amazing solar-powered Solar Impulse 2 is in Cairo, ahead of its final flight on a round-the-world trip.

Solar Impulse 2 has landed in Egypt

The amazing aircraft doesn’t use a single drop of fuel

Solar panels generate enough power to keep it aloft indefinately

The limiting factor is the pilot

He takes 20-minute naps while flying up to 3 days at a time

“Just the sound gives you so much energy. The possibility to fly day and night over the ocean, over the Mediterranean Sea … I was impressed again.

It landed in Cairo and will now prepare for the final leg to Abu Dhabi.

It started its journey in March 2015.

Proving what’s possible with clean energy and raising awareness of alternative energy.
