Google Play Music is resurrecting public playlists, a feature that mysteriously disappeared earlier this year.
All Access subscribers can search by genre, artist, or song to find and listen to others' playlists.
The new feature is present in the latest build of Google Play Music for Android, which is rolling out in the Play Store. If you don't have the update yet and want to start rocking out, then grab the APK. It is singularly focused on this feature - no bug fixes or other additions are listed in the changelog.
It is nice to see public playlists return, as that is one of the hallmarks of Spotify and other competing services. For Google Play Music All Access to flourish it will need such social features along with a robust music selection.
