Fujifilm FinePix F800EXR Features Android, iOS Wireless Sharing

The Specs
The Fujifilm F800EXR features a 0.5-inch 16MP sensor, 20x optical zoom, RAW and JPEG image capture, up to 1080p video capture at 30 frames per second, an SD memory card slot supporting up to 64GB SDXC, mini HDMI out, one USB 2.0 port, and a 3-inch LCD. The F800EXR also has a high-speed movie option that can capture up to 320fps.
Android and iOS Apps

Camera Application can also use your mobile device’s location data to geotag photos and send the information back to the original file on your camera. The app also comes with a map to view your picture locations as well as a database of more than one million points of interest worldwide.
Camera Application is not yet available for iOS, but you can use a similar app called the Fujifilm Photo Receiver to transfer photos to your iPhone and iPad. Photo Receiver does not include the location data features available on Camera Application.
The F800EXR is Fujifilm’s second camera to land in the U.S. featuring integration with a companion Android/iOS app. The first camera to offer this functionality was the FinePix XP170, which was released in May.
Fujifilm Camera Application requires Android 2.1 and up; Photo Receiver requires iOS 4.0 or greater.

Fujifilm says the F800EXR will go on sale for $350 in August. The company’s announcement says you can only get the camera in black at launch, but Fujifilm’s U.S. site shows the camera also coming in red, gold, and silver.
