MetroPCS Announces New 4G LTE Rate Plans

On Monday MetroPCS announced three new 4G LTE plans that give customers the ability to choose a plan better suited for their needs based on the amount of data they need to access. The new plans start at $40 a month with no annual contract, and provide unlimited talk, text, and 4G LTE Web browsing with bottomless YouTube access.

Stepping up to $50 a month gets you everything that the $40 plan offers, but with a slew of additional features: International and premium (i.e. texting for weather updates, TV show voting, etc...) texting, turn-by-turn directions with MetroNAVIGATOR, ScreenIT, and mobile instant messaging along with corporate e-mail and 1GB of additional data access for downloading live streaming content. You also receive premium features available through MetroSTUDIO (MetroPCS's video and ringtone-download service) when on WiFi.

The $60 plan gives customers all the feature of the $50 plan but with unlimited data access and MetroSTUDIO access, including 18 video-on-demand channels and audio downloads.

These new plans are available in the nine markets that MetroPCS currently offers its 4G service. While the coverage isn't as complete as what other carriers provide, MetroPCS can be a godsend for those who are on a budget or trying to avoid a long term commitment.
