ZTE Grand SII lets you easily command a selfie with new voice recognition tech
You'd like to talk to your phone, right? You can chat away with the new Android-powered smartphone from ZTE. The China-based handset manufacturer announced its own proprietary voice control technology for its upcoming flagship phone, the Grand S II.
According to the official press release, the Grand S II features ZTE's new voice recognition technology, which can recognize its owner's voice to do things like unlock the phone with a voice command or even bring up the camera application for a quick selfie.
The handset is powered by a quad-core 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. It also features a 5.5-inch 1080p display, in addition to a 13MP and 2MP front- and rear-facing cameras, respectively, as well as a 3,000mAh battery pack and 16GB of storage. The Grand S II will also utilize triple-MIC noise reduction technology to aid in higher quality calls and high-precision voice recording, as well as Dolby sound effects and a BOX speaker for audio.
The Grand S II will include a related feature called My-drive, which utilizes the handset's voice recognition capabilities to hear you better while you're driving. The technology will help reduce driving distractions by enabling you to have clearer voice calls and listen to messages or play music by instructing it to do so with a simple voice command.
