Video: Pigeons can use touchscreens, surprisingly aren't that great at Angry Birds
Ok, so these pigeons may not be playing Angry Birds just yet, but it turns out they can solve basic tasks by pecking away at a touchscreen.
Psychology researchers at the University of Iowa tasked the birds with tapping one of two onscreen strings, one of which would lead to a digital treat. If the bird pecked at the right string, they would be rewarded with real food.
The research suggests that the common bird isn't as dumb as we may have otherwise thought, with the video showing a pigeon capable of making intelligent choices.
