This tiny Roomba-like robot cleans your iPad for you

Owning a touchscreen device means constantly wiping it down for your greasy fingerprints, leftovers from lunch, or whatever happened in the bathroom. If it is too much trouble to clean it off with your sleeve or a microfiber cloth, Takara Tomy (the company behind the Beyblade toys) has a new miniature Roomba-like robot that will clean all your mobile devices for you.

Meet the Auto Mee S. It’s a small robot about the size of an air hockey puck that rolls around on three little tires and cleans displays with two rotating cleaning pads. Supposedly the little thing will clean your phone in four minutes, a tablet in eight, and it’s even smart enough to not roll off the edge of your devices.

The Auto Mee S is due to arrive in Japan on March 28 for a reasonable ¥1,575 ($17). Now if they could only make one to scrub a 60-inch plasma...
