Video: How kids are learning about cyberbullying

A change to the Children’s Internet Protection Act—otherwise known as CIPA—means that most US schools have to teach kids how to be safe online. We drop in on Aptos Middle School in San Francisco to watch as students get a lesson about cyberbullying.

In this video, students learn about fake Facebook accounts, what happens if someone is caught being a cyberbully, and how to practice ethical behavior online and in person.

According to the US Department of Education, 28 percent of students self-reported being bullied at school in the 2008-2009 school year, with 6 percent being bullied anywhere.
