LAS VEGAS—Smart home appliances are bigger than ever at CES. With washing machines with apps and web connections, magic remotes, and refrigerators that Facebook and blast Top 40 hits, the George Jetson future may finally be looming. Many of the products we saw here aren't available yet. But major manufacturers like Whirlpool, LG and Samsung are putting plenty of marketing push behind the smart home this year.
