FruitStand wants to give Raspberry Pi a place to stand; other fruit not welcome
Ben Leville is a man with a plan—a plan to make the world of budget electronics a safer, more organized place. As such, he's come up with The FruitStand, a workspace designed to provide flexibility to the homebrew computer genius.
The FruitStand is certainly far from a complex contraption. It's essentially a way to securely place your boards and ensure that no one runs over them. Need more than two breadbaskets—that is, the receptacles for all your breadboards—to hold the fruits of your labor? Attach more FruitStands at will.
Budget, unfortunately, is a bit of an issue. Leville needs to purchase an actual laser cutter in order to make his dreams come true. Needless to say, he turned to everyone's favorite crowdsourcing platform, Kickstarter. He requires $7000 to make the whole endeavor come true, a paltry sum compared to some of the numbers you see on Kickstarter.
