Lixil announces Android-powered Satis toilet

The Lixil Satis toilet

The clever folks over at Lixil have announced the Satis, a toilet controlled by an Android app. Pair your phone to the toilet via Bluetooth, and you’ll be able to use your phone to lift the toilet seat, flush, or set the mood by piping music through the toilet’s speakers. It will also recognize you as you enter the restroom, adjusting settings like water pressure to suit your tastes.

If you’re interested in looking over your bathroom habits, the toilet will also track how much electricity or water it has used, and comment on your health by keeping tabs on what you’re using the toilet for. There are three different Satis models, and they’ll be available (in Japan) this February, with prices ranging from $2,385 to $4,657.
