Deus Ex: Human Revolution was an incredibly cool game that focused around the idea of futuristic prosthetics so good that everyone voluntarily turned themselves into cyborgs. At the time, it seemed like technology that was years away from real-life, but maybe not. The BeBionic 3 robotic hand is possibly the most dexterous prosthetic I’ve ever seen. It lets you drink a beer, crack an egg, and carry out other everyday tasks, and it’s controlled though you regular arm muscles. [via Tested]
Throwable cameras—or throwing your own real camera—is all the rage these days. Now the military and first-responders are getting into the game too with a throwable scout camera. The idea is that soldiers, police, or firefighters can get a lay of the land before going in harm’s way by throwing the camera to get a 360-degree view of its surroundings. [via Dvice]
