Motorola’s new Droids hit store shelves Oct. 18
Motorola's much anticipated release of the Droid Razr HD and Razr Maxx HD is October 18 with available from Verizon Wireless. Verizon made the announcement Thursday also disclosing pricing that starts at $200 for the Razr HD and $300 Razr Maxx HD. The two phones look nearly identical and sport a 4.7-inch AMOLED display, but the Maxx HD has 32GB internal storage compared to the 16GB Razr HD.
The Droid M has garnered mostly positive reviews since its release, despite its weaker battery compared to big siblings Razr HD and Razr Maxx HD. The $100 Droid M has been available on store shelves since September.
All three new Droids will run the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, but will be able to upgrade to 4.1 Jelly Bean by the end of the year.
Motorola’s three latest are the company’s first since being acquired by Google. The search engine giant is hoping to reinvent the once dominant phone manufacturer, which now trails Samsung and Apple in the smartphone sphere.
