Curiosity is the mayor of Gale Crater (and other things we didn't cover)

Curiosity Rover checks in on Mars, becomes Mayor [Foursquare]

Here’s one Mayorship that won’t be lost easily: NASA has recently set-up a Foursquare account for the Curiosity Rover, allowing the Mars-based robot to check in on the red planet. Get Lost in the history of LOST with this neat HTML 5 web app [Lostalgic]

Feeling nostalgic for TV show Lost, but don’t want to sit through over 100 hours of flash-forwards and flashbacks? Developer Santiago Ortiz has created a neat HTML 5 Web app that makes revisiting the island all the more easier.

Lostalgic offers a unique and interactive way to look back across the show's six seasons, with neat visualizations, graphs, and detailed running dialogs. The app highlights the tangled relationships that the shows characters shared and the time on screen they had together. This thing is loaded with information and Santiago plans to add even more to it. [via The Verge]

This Sofa comes with baggage [Singulier]

Eastpak

Backpack maker Eastpak thinks people need pockets, lots and lots of them—so much so that the company has introduced a $2,000 sofa that’s covered in them.

It’s clear that this sofa is going to suit someone very particular indeed. If you need somewhere to store your laptop, tablet, remotes, kitchen sink, magazines and headphones — and all of which still be in easy reach when in front of the TV then this is the sofa for you. [via Geekologie]
