The Popinator sends snacks flying to your mouth

Popcorn is amazing, and it's one of the quintessential snacks of modern times. It's at every social gathering imaginable, it's the preferred snack for watching movies, and it holds a special place in the hearts of circus and carnival goers everywhere. But there is a downside: the greasy fingers. The Popinator is a fun and futuristic way of defeating this debilitating side-effect, one piece at a time.

Popcorn Indiana started this little project in what I can only assume is a marketing stunt, but it deserves some geeky attetntion. An electrical engineer put together a device that will shoot a piece of popcorn at your mouth when you say "pop." It can reach a mouth up to 15 feet away and appears to be pretty accurate, though some manuevering is still required.

A lot of geeky tech went into making such a fun and simple machine. I honestly would be in the market for one if it goes to retail sometimes soon but can only imagine how messy your room would be if you used the word "pop" in your regular vocabulary.
