New Mac Mini Torn Apart, Laid Bare

The Mac Mini received a welcome upgrade earlier this week, bringing with it a new unibody aluminum case and beefed up specs. Teardown experts over at iFixit managed to get their hands on one of the new $699 computers, and as ever, wasted no time in tearing it apart.
A twist of the Mac Mini's new base quickly gave the iFixit team access to its internals, and the iFixit team found a number of interesting points.
Thankfully for those who want to update the basic $699 model without paying Apple's premium upgrade prices iFixit discovered that memory upgrades are a refreshingly simple task: just pry two clips open.
You can see more pictures of the iFixit teardown process, and more details on the innards of Apple's latest over at the iFixit site.
