Toni writes: "I shot this photo while on vacation in Italy while riding a taxi boat through the canals in Venice. I used a Panasonic Lumix ZS3 and edited it using GIMP."

Dennis says he took this photo with a Sony DSC-H1 camera. He used the camera's macro mode to shoot a candle flame while focusing through the bottom of a cut-crystal glass.

2/15/10 Hot Pic: "Eagle in Cottonwood Tree" by Rick Dowling, Prattville, Alabama

Rick writes: "I took a photography trip to photograph eagles at the Bald Eagle Preserve in Haines, Alaska. Numerous eagles picked up small pieces of fish and flew up into the cottonwood trees. I took several photos of this eagle as he snacked."
