The Best Tech Deals of the Week

We'll show you where to find the best prices on an MSI nettop, a Nikon point-and-shoot camera, a Sony HandyCam, and more.

MSI Wind Bare-Bones Nettop is offering the MSI Wind Nettop PC for only $110 with free shipping after you apply a $10 coupon code (FALLSVG09) and send in a $15 rebate coupon. It's a bare-bones configuration, so you'll have to supply your own optical drive, hard drive, and memory, but it comes with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, six USB 2.0 ports, a card reader, gigabit ethernet, and audio hardware built in. The fully configured Wind that we reviewed delivered excellent performance for the price.

Vizio VF550XVT 55-Inch LCD 1080p HDTV (Refurbished)

TigerDirect is selling the Vizio VF550XVT 55-inch LCD 1080p HDTV, refurbished, for $1350 including shipping. In our review of the VF550XVT, we weren't a huge fan of the set's image quality or the built-in audio, but considering that the TV is selling for $450 less than its April 2009 retail price, those might be reasonable trade-offs to get a superlarge television. It comes with a three-month parts-and-labor manufacturer's warranty.

Nikon Coolpix L20 Digital Camera With 4GB SDHC

The budget-friendly Nikon Coolpix L20 has become even more appealing at Abe's of Maine, which is selling the camera for $105 (including shipping) after you use coupon code "DEALNEWS10". Not bad, considering that it's $25 less than the L20's retail price--the cost includes a 4GB SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) card for all your photo-storage needs, too. The L20 boasts a 10-megapixel image sensor, a 3.6X zoom lens, a 3-inch LCD screen, and an impressive array of features. In our review of the L20, we particularly liked the image quality and the image-stabilization functions, which were competitive with those of cameras in the $200 range.

Sony HandyCam 60GB Digital Camcorder

Abe's of Maine is also offering the Sony HandyCam 60GB Digital Camcorder (model number DCR-SR47) for $345 with free shipping, down $60 from the retail price. We first covered this model at Sony's initial announcement in early 2009. It has a 60GB hard drive as well as a Memory Stick slot for additional storage, a 60X-optical-zoom Carl Zeiss lens, Super SteadyShot image stabilization, and a 2.7-inch touch-panel display.

LaCie Rugged All-Terrain Portable Hard Drive

Last up this week is the LaCie Rugged All-Terrain 250GB Portable Hard Drive. is selling a triple-interface configuration (USB 2.0, FireWire 800/400) for $95 with free shipping--$35 less than retail price. It might not be the prettiest drive around, but we dropped it from 7 feet up for our Tough Tech slide show--and though it suffered some scratches, it still managed to keep on tickin'.
