At the FPD show in Japan, Shinoda Plasma showed a 3-meter long prototype plasma display. The screen isn't manufactured on a rigid piece of glass, but instead uses a very thin type of glass tube that is flexible and can create curved displays. The company expects to be able to start shipping the new displays by May 2009.
