This Week's Hot Pic: "Monarch," by Candy Tischendorf, Oak Creek, Wisconsin

Here's how Candy did it: "Monarch butterflies love the coneflowers in my garden," she says. "After taking many shots and being very patient, I captured this butterfly with my Kodak DX6490 as it was resting on a flower. I used Photoshop to add a grayscale layer and then removed that layer just from the butterfly and flower to bring attention to the subject."
