This week's Hot Pic: "Elegance in Black," by Boyd F. Krueger, Winnetka, California
Boyd captured this unusual portrait at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. He says that he shot this picture with a Nikon D2H digital camera in the late afternoon--between 2 and 4 p.m.--when the lighting is usually best for outdoor photography. About the subject, Boyd says that this is a California Condor that was bred in the San Diego Zoo's breeding program as part of an ongoing program to reintroduce the Condor into its native habitat.
